  PEARR

PEARR's purpose is to advocate for respect in relationships and empower individuals through educational and fundraising events that
benefit Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. Founded in 2006, PEARR’s mission is to advocate for respect within relationships
and to end dating/domestic violence. Why respect? It’s simple. We feel that if someone has respect for another person in a relationship,
then one cannot abuse or mistreat the other person.

We encourage you to join PEARR to help us continue our mission to end dating/ domestic violence in our community. Annual general
membership starts at $35 (students, $25). Sign up today! Membership benefits include reduced prices to our educational seminars
and events, such as the book club, wine tasting, PEARR Mixer (social networking), educational, and Live Boldly events.

Get Involved

Every year, PEARR hosts its signature event "Live Boldly" - a 4 week series of workshops designed to educate and advocate respect in relationships. This is a huge opportunity to raise awareness in the community and a great way to get involved.

Live Boldly 2010
Saturday, May 1, 2010: Creative Art Center at SunServe
Saturday, May 22, 2010: Strive and Thrive

Join in the planning for the 2010 Live Boldly series of educational and community outreach events! We need help to start planning now - please email Danielle Knier or Michelle Holcombe for more information.

PEARR also hosts a Book Club: Reading with a Purpopse. If you enjoy reading books, and discussing them over lunch with a group of like-minded ladies, then this is the group for you. Book selections will cover a range of genre's and topics related to women. Book Club meetings are held every 3rd Saturday of the month at a restaurant where each member is responsible for their own meal. During lunch we will discuss the selected book and at the end of the discussion you will find out what the book selection will be for the next meeting. For more information, please visit the Book Club page on MeetUp.com or contact Jahnelle at jahnelle@gmail.com.
